Cannot customize profile.php

Hello

Thanks for this plugin. Its fully meets my need.
I have a question. I have tried to customize the profile page by copying profile.php from the template folder to the uupro folder in my child theme folder as explained on your website.
Changes that I made were not reflected. Did I do something wrong or is it impossible?
