• Hello,

When trying to edit existing content in either the theme customizer or elementor my content is covered by a grey box as opposed to showing the full preview.

I can still edit my content but only in the small light grey window above the dark grey section in the picture. This is very annoying and I have tried every possible fix (removing plugins, going back models of elementor, etc…)

Elementor works fine for new content, so I’m assuming it’s a problem with OceanWP itself. I just paid for premium extensions and I’m pretty disappointed because I can’t see the full preview when trying to edit existing content.

I am not sure where to access your response. I am on the oceanwp.org website and see nothing regarding a ticket reply. Would appreciate your help

    Thanks

You should get the response on your email. Can you please mention the steps to replicate this issue? Which widget you have used to design the page?

I have the same issue. It only affects the preview window while trying to edit. I think it’s an issue with elementor. Really annoying.

Have you updated the theme and plugins to the latest version? Try to disable all the plugin except Ocean Extra + Elementor and check it works or not. If it works, then enable plugins one by one to find the culprit.

Yup I’ve done literally everything, and the problem actually went away for a day randomly and then came back. Very frustrating, I have a lot of work that needs to get done with this site and can barely do anything.

Now featured images for posts are not showing on category pages. One problem after another I guess.

Have you added any code in the header like Google Analytic code, Adsense code etc? Try to remove it temporarily and let me know it works or not.

I can confirm this. The problem is Google Adsense. Only by removing the ads (manually or by disabling the ad plugin) the customizer works normally.

I figured it was an adsense problem because I noticed that the customizer and elementor work just fine on pages where I don’t have any ad units.

@amit I have adsense, search console, and analytics code in my header that has been added using the Insert Headers and Footers plugin.

It seems like the problem is indeed adsense, because I’m able to customize posts without any ads. Is there a work around for this?

    Cheers.

Same problem here, as mentioned in another thread, just to let you know there are more people affected by this issue.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We are working on it and release a fix very soon.
