Can’t create WordPress user account submitting the registration form, it shows “Cannot create a user with an empty login name”, the account registration form is made by “RegistrationMagic” plugin.

Why the error message pops up and how can I fix it?

    Hi @jerrygreatintl,

This error message is not appearing from RegistrationMagic even though the form is of our plugin. Could you please deactivate all other plugins on your site and then check again. We’d like to make sure this is not a conflict with another plugin on your site.

I tried to deactivate all other plugins but the problem is still there. How can I fix this?

    Hi @jerrygreatintl,

This error can appear when the username given for a registering user is empty. So it is possible that some other plugin’s code or the theme’s code is changing the username value submitted from the form before it is sent for creating the user account.

Could you please retry after changing to another theme and also check if you have code customization on your site related to usernames.

Also, we have tested on our server here but on our end the functionality is working completely fine.
