Cannot Connect To www.remarpro.com SSL Problem?

  • Updates of WordPress fail and some admin functions take forever to execute and time out. As a result I installed the Background Update Tester plugin and this is the output:

    PASS: Your WordPress install can communicate with www.remarpro.com securely.
PASS: No version control systems were detected.
PASS: Your installation of WordPress doesn’t require FTP credentials to perform updates.
WARNING: Couldn#8217;t retrieve a list of the checksums for WordPress 4.0. This could mean that connections are failing to www.remarpro.com.

    I also installed the HTTPS Tester plugin and this gives the following output:

    We do NOT have SSL on our server, or at least the SSL functionality is not defined in the Apache configuration. Some years ago they did use SSL and removed it. Is this the cause of the problem?

    We are running on an IBM iSeries (A6.1) with Zend Server (Apache).
