Cannot Connect To www.remarpro.com SSL Problem?

Updates of WordPress fail and some admin functions take forever to execute and time out. As a result I installed the Background Update Tester plugin and this is the output:

We do NOT have SSL on our server, or at least the SSL functionality is not defined in Apache. Is this the cause of the problem?

We are running on an IBM iSeries with Zend Server (Apache).
