So installed Version – 1.0.38 since everyone stated the rollback plugin works better than the current one. I was able to connect via WooCommerce Settings tab called Square, and it seems to sync with the progress bar. But when I went to Products in Woo nothing would show up. When I logged into Square, it showed in the MyApps portion, so it was connecting to sync, but somehow was not Product syncing from Square back to Woo.

So I nixed the Version – 1.0.38 and installed the latest and greatest, Version 2.0.8. Now when I try connect to Square again a Permission box pops up within Square and asked that I give authorization for WooCommerce access to Square. When I click Allow, I get an error message up top “An Error Has Occurred. Please try again.” I try and I try, nothing to no avail.

Wordpress is current edition, CPanel 7.2, and Database is to standard. We are only syncing ten products from Square. And I only have 16 plugins.

    List of Plugins:

All In One SEO Pack, Breadcrumb NavXT, Coming Soon Page, Contact Form 7, Mailchimp for WooCommerce, Meta Box, Meta Box Show Hide, NT Agricom Shortcodes, OptionTree, Slider Revolution, UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore, WooCommerce, WooCommerce FedEx Shipping, WooCommerce Square, WP Admin Bar Removal, WPBakery Page Builder

Some steps I tried to troubleshoot for Version 2.0.8:

    1) I disabled all plugins, and tried to connect it, it doesn’t work.

    2) I tried to install 1.0.38, then update the plugin, it doesn’t work.

    3) I tried to install just 2.0.8, it doesn’t work.

    4) I tried to uninstall WooCommerce and delete everything on the server related to it, then reinstall WooCommerce, then Square again, it doesn’t work.

So I am running out of options to make this plugin work and I have no choice but to use Square, since our products are on it. Please advise.

  • Hi @robbcool – So sorry to hear that you’re having so much trouble getting Square up and running on your site!

I definitely encourage you to stick with v. 2.0.8 and get that working moving forward. Based on your description, it sounds like this is an issue on the Square side rather than on the WooCommerce side.

    Could you try the following:
    1. Open an incognito window
    2. Verify that you are logged out of your Square account in that window
    3. Log in to your WooCommerce site as an admin
    4. Try to connect to Square

You should be redirected to the Square login page at that point and be able to log in. Let us know how that goes!

    Hi Jess,

    Thank you for writing back.

I have tried that. And like I previously stated to no avail.

Look at the screenshot at what we are seeing.

Also, we contacted Square and awaiting word back, whether it’s on their end or our end.

Fixed it. Was on Google Chrome, switched to Safari and clean browser and the sync worked.

@robbcool It could be an extension/plugin or security setting in your Chrome browser. I’ve had similar issues that were resolved by disabling all my extensions. Something to keep in mind if you prefer working in Chrome.
