• Using Mailpoet 3 version 3.0.6

Trying to figure out why some people are getting “An error has happened while performing a request, please try again later.” or “Unable to connect to Mailpoet server. Please refresh the page and try again” but not others.

I thought maybe it was because there are two instances of the form widget (one in footer, one in sidebar, thought they are different forms with their own unique IDS). But one will work, or both, and then one won’t. So I refresh the page to test again and then I get one of those error messages. Sometimes the error happens on the footer but not the sidebar, and vice versa.

I have Mailpoet 2 deactivated while this spotty activity has been going on so I don’t foresee any conflicts there.

For now, I have stuck the shot code onto a test page, so that I can keep a different signup activated while this gets resolved.

    Many thanks in advance!

  • Hi Alison, we believe we know what’s causing this, so we are investigating it already. As soon as it’s fixed, we’ll get back to you on this same very topic, okay?

    Excellent. I shall stay tuned!

    Hi MailPoet,
I see the same thing with one of my friends. I can’t replicate the issue by myself, so far it was only reported by one person. What could be the reason to get these (both) errors?

Hi Emim, our issue was resolved when the plugin updated. Sorry I couldn’t be of more assistance. We played the waiting game – I did not hear/reach out to Mailpoet directly.

hey Alison, thanks for your update. I would hope that an update could fix it, but I have the latest version already. I wonder how many potential subscribers I could be still loosing. It’s hard to say how many times this occurs as I can’t find applicable logs on the hosting side. I wish there was a debug option on the MailPoet component allowing to save additional logs for each subscribe attempt.

Yes…it still does not work. No response from Support.
Wondering if this issue occured with the payed version too—

I will use an other tool in future.

while I am not currently able to confirm this on my side (that above was a one-time incident), the MP team replied to me that this could be caused by cached website files. MP would be using WP nonces, which cached might break their correct behaviour.

The issue still exists….but it only occured when mobile devices are try to sign in.
How can this behaviour been fixed. It looks like a cache problem, but how can i solve it..ia am using WP supercahe
