Thanks for reaching out @steponme. Based on your comments, it sounds like you may be impacted by a wider issue as reported in the GitHub issue below:
    https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/9590

While we’ll have a fix out for this next week, to ensure this is the issue you’re facing, please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.??
    2. Does the Google account you used to connect Site Kit already have some Google Analytic accounts and properties, or is it a new Google Analytics account?
    3. When checking the Site Kit dashboard from a Chrome browser incognito window does the same occur? If so, please share any browser console errors that appear.?

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.

Many thanks for sharing the additional information @steponme. It looks like this error may occur on a Google Analytics account set up page. Rather than going through this route, to test this further, are you able to connect Google Analytics within Site Kit by selecting an existing Google Analytics account and not choosing the option to create a new once?

Feel free to share a recording of your experience if you wish, so we can investigate further from our side. You can use a service such as Loom to share a screen recording, while using the same form previously used to share this privately.?

Adding to an existing one solved the problem.

How many accounts can a single account have? Should’nt the error be a bit more specific, if permission linked?

Glad to hear that @steponme, nice troubleshooting.

How many accounts can a single account have? Shouldn’t the error be a bit more specific, if permission linked?

Agreed the error would ideally be more specific, however, I don’t suspect the error you’re facing is related to already having a maximum number of Google Analytics accounts. From previous tests, in such cases the errors are more targeted and specific. I suspect the issue is more related to something blocking or impacting the flow from Site Kit to the account provisioning page, which is a Google Analytics page served from analytics.google.com. If you do wish to perform some additional checks to see what may be occurring, you can see if the same occurs if creating an account within Site Kit on another WordPress site. Here’s a link to a TasteWP site, with Site Kit preinstalled. Feel free to check from there and let me know how you get on.

Regarding the amount of Google Analytics accounts a user can have, this is set at 100 at time of writing, although I believe you can have access to other accounts, that users may have shared with you.
