• Hi,
I’ve just installed the OpenID plugin v3.3.3 to try and allow people with OpenIDs (specifically LiveJournal, since that’s where most of the commenters on my blog would come from) and I think I’ve installed it correctly. I’ve also installed XRDS-Simple alongside OpenID

When I go to comment on my blog, entering my LiveJournal URL as the website, I am redirected to https://www.livejournal.com/openid/server.bml and see this error message:

This is an OpenID server endpoint, not a human-readable resource. For more information, see https://openid.net/.

    Any ideas?

    TIA,
    Raj.

…no, it is not an LJ problem, it is a plugin problem ??

i have the same setup installed as you described above, on WP 3.0.1, but I don’t see any change to my comments. i expected an openid icon or something. am i missing something? Do I need to edit comments.php?

I’m experiencing the very same problem with LJ as the OP has stated it.

Does anyone have any idea how to work around this apparent bug?

Looks like I finally was able to resolve this issue, replacing method=”post” with method=”get” on line 681 in /wp-content/plugins/openid/common.php. Maybe this will be useful.

Unfortunately, blackmoron’s suggestion doesn’t work for me.
