Cannot clear user from blocklist

  • My admin username became blocked. I managed to sign in from another IP, but my username is still on the blocklist and cannot be removed. When I remove and save settings after that, my username is still on the list.

    Please take these 2 steps first:

    1. Make sure you are not using any caching plugins. If you do, purge all cache and check that field again.
    2. If that username is something common like “admin”, ask your hosting support if they hardcoded the username there for you. Some hosts override the plugin’s settings like that.
