    Hi @niobamed,

We are sorry but this is a known WP 5 limitation since they have replaced the Classic editor with Gutenberg.

You can try to install the Classic Editor plugin then activate it as the default editor from “Settings -> Writing” in hope that you’ll be able to set NextGen featured images again.

    Hope this works for you,
    Mihai

I just tried the suggestion and in the Classic Editor, the option for NextGen Featured image is gone.

In the block editor I get:
[02-Apr-2019 19:00:52 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function mime_content_type() in /home/trini436/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_data/package.module.nextgen_data.php on line 4989
