    We have paid version of shopmagic. Newest version broke our woocommerce checkout process. All plugins are now updated.

    Now when checking out we receive error “List must be either opt_in or opt_out. Type is not allowed”. There is no box to check. The order still shows up and “pending” on Woocommerce Order dashboard.

    Disabling all ShopMagic plugins causes error to go away.

    It is also problematic that when updating/activating the new ShopMagic version, it automatically installed the ShopMagic plugins for Google Sheets, Twilio, and ContactForm7 for Woocommerce.

    This upgrade will probably cause us to stop using ShopMagic.

    Hello @spoonjab!

    Could you, please, check how your marketing lists are configured? This error suggests, that at least one of them (even if saved as draft) may interfere with the checkout process.

    As to automatic installation of ShopMagic extensions – we are already aware of the issue and fix for that will be released next week.

    Let me also remind, that as user of paid version, you are encouraged to contact us through official support channel at https://shopmagic.app. This way, we will be able to provide you with faster responses and through debugging.

    You can close my topic.

    I tried your advice, but I don’t have any list in marketing>lists ; neither “published” nor “draft” nor “trashed” (optin /optout).

    Oops. Ive read a bit to fast. I will try to publish a list or downgrade. Thanks for your complete answer, I’ll keep you informed.

    ok so:

    • no lists to remove in “marketing”
    • publish a list not working too
    • downgrade plugin to 2.37.15 seems to be the only workaround for now
