  • I’m just now looking into this myself. I’m having the same problem.

SortOrder seems to be tied into the constant contact API. I even tried to manually modify the sort order in the database for the widget, and yet the widget still defaults to no sort order at all, except for the sort order delivered by the constant contact API.

Bummer. After spending several hours trying to *finally* implement my Constant Contact signup form the way I wanted to implement it, I’m forced to back-off and NOT implement Constant Contact yet again.

sigh… I certainly can’t devote the time to program my own WordPress plugin. But I can’t display 5+ list options and not have it sorted properly. It just looks unprofessional and difficult to sort through for my customers.

I am having this problem also.

I have the same issue. I need to display three lists in a particular order.
    Any solution?

I’m having a similar problem- I can update my lists in the widget, but the updates aren’t reflected on my pages.

    How do I fix this?

    Thanks,

HanksMom, I discoverd that this is not possible using this widget.
As a workaround, I used a text widget and inserted a “sign up now” button by including code from Constant Contact. When the click on the button, the users are redirected to a pretty signup page where the lists are displayed alphabetically.
    I hope this helps.

    Thanks, Gilles,

That is so weird because a year ago, when I first started using this widget it was very flexible.

Jeeze, so once you make your lists, there is no changing them on the page? For example, we simple want to change our “daycare” list to “blog Subscribe”. Any help is greatly appreciated:)

Can you not simply change the list’s name in the backend of Constant Contact? This would change the what you see in your sidebar.

Thanks for the suggestion, Korg007. I tried that and unfortunately it is still not reflected in my sidebar. I renamed it both in Constant Contact and in WordPress to the same thing and it’s still saying “daycare”.

    Any other bright ideas?

    Thanks for the help!
    JSS

Sorry, I’ve run out of options
Let’s hope the developer pipes in.
