Cannot change role in User Role Editor and cannot change rights

  • Using multisite here.
    On the User Role Editor page of a site (/wp-admin/users.php?page=users-user-role-editor.php) I cannot switch roles, the page comes back to the first role in the dropdown. And when adding a capability, it is not saved.

    Also having trouble with users with a custom role not being able to edit the posts they are author of, this might be related.

    Help is appreciated.

    I don’t see any JS errors in the console.

    I have removed the plugin and implemented the same result with a few lines of code.

    Exact same problem, capabilities don’t save after clicking update.
    Wordpress multisite, might want to check the plugin.

    @nicoblog: Can you provide any additional information? Did you check a browser JavaScript console for the error messages? What about my offer above to look on the issue on-line?
