• Hi,

I have no more access to the package settings in the “Downloads” menu of the WordPress administration interface when I want to create or modify a download file.

    The following sections are empty:
    – Package Settings
    – Lock Options
    – Icons

I am using Download Manager 3.0.8 version.

How can I retrieve these settings?
    Thank you for your help.

    Best regards

    Hi,
It looks like a CSS conflict with any other active plugin or theme. Please try disabling other plugins and changing the theme temporarily.

    Hi,

Thank you for your prompt response.

Apparently this is not the only reason because I have the same problem with other themes. The package settings (header) do not appear with some themes.

    – Twenty Nineteen without CSS: same problem (header only, no sections)
    – Twenty Sixteen without CSS: same problem (header only, no sections)
    – Twenty Seventeen without CSS: no header and no sections
    – Twenty Twenty without CSS: no header and no sections
    – my theme (HashOne) without CSS: no header and no sections
    – all plugins deactivated: no sections and no header (even with Twenty Sixteen and HashOne themes)

Could you please tell me what are the CSS elements (id and class) related to the header and the sections?
    Thank you for your help.

    Best regards

    Hi,

I don’t know why it is not working.
This is perhaps related to the installation of the Active Digital Store Option I did and later the deinstallation of the “Premium Packages – Sell Digital Products Securely” plugin.

The sections are always empty and contain only the following message:
“Planning to sell your digital products? Activate Digital Store Option”

How can I recover the original configuration of the Download Manager plugin without losing the files I already added?

    Best regards

“Premium Packages” is not related to that issue, did you try disabling other plugins?

    Hi,

Yes as I said one week ago:

    – all plugins deactivated: no sections and no header (even with Twenty Sixteen and HashOne themes)

    Hi @shafayat-alam,

After several investigations, I discovered another problem may be related to the one I described above.
All users can access download files whatever their access roles even if I deactivate all access roles in the category. The problem did not exist before.

Are there missing access rights on a directory of the wp-content folder?

    Best regards

    Hi,

I did not get any answer to my last question.

I think your plugin is not stable and has been broken.

I discovered weird files in the “/wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files” directory, beginning with a number and “wpdm_” and then followed by the name of files.

Below are two examples in my directory :

    1572632223wpdm_<filename1>.pdf
    1579811337wpdm_<filename2>.pdf

All files have the following permissions :

    Access rights: 0604
    Owner/Group: 617775 100

Could you please tell me why all users have access to all files regardless of their access rights even when all of my plugins have been deactivated?

Why those two files have been generated?

    Thank you for your help.

    Best regards

    Hi,
WPDM renames a file during upload with a prefix ([0-9]+)wpdm_ when another file with the same name already exists in the server.
Access rights in the server is not related to wpdm access settings. 0604 is server file access permission.

To control download manager file access, please check this doc:
    https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/add-new-package/package-settings/allow-access-access-control-option/

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

As I said at the beginning, the following sections are empty:
    – Package Settings
    – Lock Options
    – Icons
You can see the screenshot at https://imgur.com/Nfe4gJa

All was working fine several months ago and I don’t know what is wrong.
I deactivated all plugins with the same result.

    Best regards
