    Hey there,

Unfortunately you haven’t provided me with your site URL to check.

Also, is that actually what the font is called when used in CSS or just a user friendly visual representation of it?

    Please advise

    Hey there,

Looking at your source HTML I don’t see that font installed on your site.

Can you show me somewhere else on your site that the font is being used so I can compare the two sections?

The second screenshot shows the font type installed.

Infact if I change the Typography in Apperance > Customize > Typography > Logo > Font Family using the same font, the menu font changes. See site now with this change.Hence the font not being installed is not the issue.

But that’s strange behaviour, cause the menu has nothing to do with the Logo. So is there a better way to do it.

    Hey there,

Unfortunately that doesn’t show the font installed, that’s just a screenshot of your theme admin. I don’t know if your theme is working or installing it properly.

In your actual source code I don’t see it which is why I’m asking. As you say the Logo doesn’t have a font so that’s not a good reptesentation of if the font is installed or not.

Can you place some text on your site using the font you want so I can compare and see that the font is actually installed and working on your site?

    Please let me know

@peterfeatherstone-1 Just did, pls check. Also check the font on the Menu(it is changed because of Logo typography change)

    Hey there,

I can see the menu font working now and matching the text on your site.

Like I mentioned before i.e because

Infact if I change the Typography in Apperance > Customize > Typography > Logo > Font Family using the same font, the menu font changes. See site now with this change.Hence the font not being installed is not the issue.

I don’t want to have to change the Logo Typo for a Menu font change. It was just to show you that the font is installed and can be activated. The simple way should be set it through the Responsive Menu settings panel as already shared in first screenshot. The question is Why is not taking affect?

    Peter Featherstone

    (@peterfeatherstone-1)

    Hey there,

That might be a question for your theme developers.

I would assume that they only install the font if you select it. If you haven’t selected it for anything at all such as a logo then it would be bad of them to install the font.

    Please advise

    @peterfeatherstone-1

Well Peter, the font as I have already shown you, in two basic ways, is very much installed and possible to set. Which is standard WordPress.

Your settings and documentation, says just Type the name of the font and it will take affect. Lets assume for a moment, your point of contention, that THIS font is not installed is genuine.

What is the default font that Responsive Menu uses? Let me change it to any other font that comes with Wodrpress default – say Arial/Comic Sans. Then it should work, rgt?

    Peter Featherstone

    (@peterfeatherstone-1)

    Hey there,

My plugin doesn’t come with any fonts but yeah you can try Arial as that is a default browser font.

Please let me know how that goes.

    @peterfeatherstone-1

I tested out couple of cases and realised that the Response Menu settings option for the Menu font, as shown in screenshot 1 earlier, takes affect only when I am using a Custom header, irrespective of what Font I choose, even the basics i.e Arial/Open sans etc.

So you see it works now, as I am using a custom header.

    Peter Featherstone

    (@peterfeatherstone-1)

    Hey there,

It’s strange. It does feel like the font doesn’t get installed in certain combinations of options or something strange like that.

Are you saying it’s working now?

    Peter

    Thread Starter ananddevops

    (@ananddevops)

Yes, it is working now. But that is ONLY because I am using a custom header. Infact with a custom header, even the “Annie…” font works.

So there seems to be a compatibility issue with a basic menu and changibg font style of Responsive Menu. I am using the OceanWP Child theme, which is very generic.

    Peter Featherstone

    (@peterfeatherstone-1)

    Hey there,

This doesn’t sound like an issue with my plugin. My plugin doesn’t do any magic with fonts. It just adds a basic CSS value to reference the font.

When I checked earlier that font wasn’t installed on your site so it sounds like a question for the theme authors potentially?

As you say the font is only there when you add a custom header so that sounds like a theme question.

    Please advise

    Peter
