• Hi. I’ve spent ages trying to sort this out. It is not a problem with the Theme…it’s the page that goes in the theme.

I’ve changed the fonts via the theme style.css. Perfect. The whole theme font has changed.

But for some bizarre reason…the font in the main page…in this case the front page…will not change. I’ve tried to make the <H1> a comic Sans. It won’t change.

Does anyone know how to change a single page font? Not the actual theme font. The page does not seem to be picking up the style.css code and seems to be behaving independently.

    Thanks.

  • This is almost certainly controlled by your theme. What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

It might also help if you provided a site url.

Hi thank you for your reply.

    I’m using Hestia Theme.

I would provide a site URL but my site is under construction so is not viewable to the public.

Does anyone know how to change the page’s font directly? I’ve changed the theme font and it seems to work globally…but it does not affect the page or the blog font.

    Thanks.

You would do it with CSS, the same way you already have, but how to change specific elements depends entirely on the mark-up of the theme, and the existing styles.

What you need to do is inspect the current styles of the element you want to change, and add styles with higher specificity so that they take precedence. Here’s how to inspect CSS in Chrome.

If that seems a bit overwhelming, and you need specific help with your theme, you should ask in the theme’s dedicated support forum:

With any luck the author, or a dedicated user, will know exactly what you need.
