This seems to be a problem with the theme that I am using, as I haven’t encountered this problem with other themes, but obviously they don’t provide support for third party plugins, so I thought I’d see if this problem has happened before and if anyone knows what the source of the problem is so that I might be able to fix it. If I fill out a field incorrectly or if I leave it blank and then hit send, it returns the proper errors, but I can’t click on the input field to correct them. Any idea what might be causing this?

Probably your theme’s style sheet is causing it. Which theme do you use? Where can I see the site?

If you click send without filling out one of fields, you have to refresh the page change anything.

It’s absolutely a theme issue. I suggest trying another one.

I am using a theme where the designer recommended CF7 and gives styling code for it – please see Circumference Lite instructions –
    create-a-contact-page-like-the-demo-site

I am also using the CF7 Honeypot.

However in testing the form, I get the same problem described by the OP above. If I leave out a field, I get the yellow box invalid msg as well as red text under the field in error. However I cannot access the field to correct it unless I refresh the page.
    Please see my sandbox site

Also is text* supposed to put an asterisk next to the placeholder text so that it alerts the visitor to a required field? It would be a nice addition.

    Thanks
