    Hello. I use the SEO Press plugin, which is like Yoast.

    I have no problem with changing the title content using SEO Press on product listings, but nothing I do seems to change the product category title content.

    Under your plugin’s general settings, I have changed, disabled, enabled and partially enabled all SEO or title-related settings available to me in your plugin to try and fix the problem to no avail. Nothing obvious to me on my end seems to be causing the problem. My blog categories are also not effected.

    The format I cannot change from is: {Category Name} – {Website Name}

    Please advise. Thank you.

  • Hi,

    make sure you have set the global titles templates from SEO, titles and metas, Taxonomy/archive/post types are not empty.

    Same for meta description. You should see a notification if it’s the case from the SEO dashboard and the Titles and metas settings page.

    Hello. I checked in my plugin and saw that there is a specific taxonomy for this product categories. After changing it, I was able “fix” the problem.

    Thank you you the assistance.

    I was confused primarily because my blog categories and even the product items can have the titles and meta content changed individually and be different from the default that’d be set in the SEO plugin settings. Sorry.

    Anyway, I appreciate the prompt response.
