Cannot Change Background Color in Station Theme 2.1.2.

    I cannot seem to change the background of my current theme (station v.2.1.2.)

    I have spent countless hours reading blogs trying to solve my problem, but with my theme i don’t even see the body {background: } option in the style.css template. But i do see a message that says to use _customcss.php. but the closest option i see that looks similar is –
    <?php if (pagelines(‘backgroundcolor’)):?>
    body {background:<?php echo pagelines(‘backgroundcolor’);?>;}}

    I’ve tried changing this code, but it does not change anything.

    Since www.remarpro.com has no customer service option i am in desperate need of some help. Please Please Please…
