    Hello! I am using the FirsTyme theme and it has this awful highlighter-yellow color for when I reply to comments. I searched all of the files for the color code FFFF33 and I found one instance, which I replaced with a different color. I cannot see this code ANYWHERE, but it is still showing up on my page as this yellow color. Can someone help me locate the problem?

  • does the theme have a style.css?

    try working with a tool such as Firebug https://getfirebug.com/ or a similar browser tool to identify which styles you need to edit.

    or post a link to your site.

    Ah.. was so good about posting all my codes, I forgot my link.

    style.css

    [css code moderated - this is easily accessible from the link to your site]

    looking at the respective code in functions.php (line 251 – not important) leads to the assumption that this color is adjustable from within the theme options;

    Dashboard – Appearance – Theme Options – Style Settings – Author comments

    get familiar with the theme options – that is why they are there.
