Cannot assign lessons to curriculum sections of courses

Hi all. Thanx in advance. I cannot add(assign?) lessons (or anything else like quizzes, questions etc) to the curriculum sections of my course . I click “select items” and my lessons appear normally. i select the lesson i want, and press “Add”. And then nothing happens. I update the course and the curriculum section is empty again.
