Hello. I am trying to enable comments on a website. I’ve tried all kinds of settings for subscribers, contributors, etc: moderate comments, edit posts, edit other posts, etc. and it doesn’t let me allow comments. I do have comments enabled too within settings/discussion. Please help.

    Hi,

There is no need to have any special user capabilities to post comments.
    – Check if comments are not disabled especially for that post – at the bottom of the post editor page.
    – Try to change theme to 2014, may your active theme blocks comments.
    – Try to deactivate plugins to ensure that no one plugin blocks comments at your blog.

I’ve been struggling with readers not being able to leave comments, off & on, for months! I finally deactivated one of my plug-ins (iDienstler’s Tracking Code) and that allowed readers to start leaving comments again, but after just a couple of weeks, the comment ability ended once more. I’ve gone through my plug-ins, looking for what might be the problem and nothing is jumping up at me. My site is: Combustus.com (These are my plug-ins: Akismet; Select Better WordPress reCAPTCHA;CloudFlare; Duplicator, Easy WordPress Mailchimp Integration; Enhanced Search Box; Featured Image In Rss Feed; Google AdSense by BestWebSoft; Go Daddy Quick Set up; Google Analytics by Yoast; Google XML Sitemaps; Hotlink Protection; Jetpack by WordPress.com; WP Smush.it; WP101 Video Tutorials; WP-reCAPTCHA; WP-Optimize; WP-No-Format; WordPress SEO; WordPress Importer; WordPress Facebook Like Plugin; WordPress Backup to Dropbox; TinyMCE Advanced; TentBlogger Optimize WordPress Database Plugin; Strx Magic Floating Sidebar Maker; Sidekick.) Can you help please?
