Cannot add spaces between paragraphs

  • This week I have been unable to add spaces between paragraphs. I have always been able to do this previously but not as of yesterday and all the blank lines between paragraphs have been taken away in a draft post I am working on. It has not been published and will not be until I can fix this error.

    Can anyone help?

    To clarify, I am trying to have extra blank lines between certain paragraphs and a set of 5 blank lines at the bottom of the page before starting a separate footnote. I can add the spacing lines using the enter button and when the post is previewed all the spaces show up. However, once I save the draft post all the blank lines I added have disappeared.
