Cannot Add Share Buttons Due to WordPress.com Ban

    I just tried to enable share buttons for a self hosted WordPress site. I’ve done this many times before, but in this case the WordPress.com account associated with the site was banned from purchasing domains including WordPress.com subdomains.

    Hi there

    If you’re referring to Jetpack’s sharing feature, you should be able to add Sharing buttons without a WordPress.com connection, via your site’s wp-admin area at Jetpack > Settings > Sharing.

    If the site is connected to a banned WordPress.com account, then you won’t be able to add them via WordPress.com
