Testing the Appointment Hour Booking plugin. Editor Add a Field tab is divided between “Main Form Controls” and “Extended Form Controls (Commercial Versions).” The former includes Email, Appointment, Telephone, Single Line, and Accept/GDPR. The Telephone option is inaction/unavailable, even though it is NOT in the Extended Controls subsection.

Yes, I see later the statement “In this version the form builder supports calendar, text, email and acceptance checkbox fields” but there is no mention of Telephone field in the following content (“In this version the form builder supports calendar, text, email and acceptance checkbox fields,” etc).

As such, ambiguity present. What must I do to be able to add a Telephone field? (I know I can add a Single Line text field, but no editing for full inclusion is possible – apart from adding my own hacks to the code)

    Thanks!

    Hi,

The “phone” field type isn’t available in this version but you can use a “Single Line” field type to accept phone numbers. The “Single Line” field type has a “required” validation and “Min length/characters” – “Max length/characters”. Note that you can add multiple “Single Line” fields into the form and customize their labels, instructions and other attributes.

We indeed see that the phone field is located in an unexpected area of the form builder, we are already working in an update to correct that ambiguity.

    Thank you for the feedback!

As I feared… but thanks for confirming. I fooled around a little with using JS/JQuery to modify the input field to type “tel” and adding a pattern, but couldn’t get the oninvalid event to work… moved on to more important issues. Appreciate the quick reply. Thanks.
