Cannot add pages to appearance->menus

    The add to menu button does not work on this one particular client website. query monitor shows numerous errors in wordpress core wp-includes/post.php “Trying to get property ‘ID’ of non-object” and “Trying to get property ‘post_type’ of non-object”

    Admin-ajax.php returns no response.

    I have tried everything I can find on the web.
    disabling all plugins and even changing themes. Raising memory limit, saving permalinks, double checking file permissions, using the correct php and mysql versions, downgrading wordpress to a previous version when menus worked(6.5)

    php and wp_debug return no errors.

    Did you also use a standard theme, the last classic one would be TwentyTwentyOne?

    Do you see any anomalies under Tools > Site Health?

    With which WordPress version did it still work exactly? And with which one no longer?
