Cannot Add new Page/Post

As soon as I copy db.php to wp-content folder, I can access the website without a problem, but when I login to the dashboard and try to add a new post or page, I get the following error.
You are editing the page that displays your latest posts.
and I dont get the visual or text editor to add text and the publish button gets changed to Send for Review
Hope someone can help me.
