Cannot add links in the view mode any more

  • Hi,

    Until recently I never had problems with this before but suddenly I have a funny thing coming up when I try to add links to an article. When I mark the text, I either cannot click on “add link” OR I can click it and then when I save the url and link name I am asked if I am sure that I wanna leave the page. When I click no, the window disappears and the link is not in the article. When I click Yes, I am switched to the articles site in the dash board with none of the changes saved.

    Is it just me, or are others experiencing this?

    PS: In the HTML viwe I can of course still add the code normally.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
