    Hi all,
I am helping out somebody with a simple site, WordPress 5.8 theme twentyfifteen and I noticed that when inserting an image, I cannot find the usual options for making a link. In previous version there was always the possibility to link the image to a page where just the jpg file was opened in its original size or a page with some additional info, to a completely external page and there was also the option not to link the image to any page at all (if the image itself was large enough or just there for decoration).
Could anybody tell me where these features are gone?
    Thanks on advance

  • Hi Martien, if you click on the image block, you will see a toolbar. In that toolbar you can click on the link icon and add/apply a link to the image. The block toolbar can be just above the block or look on top of your screen to locate the same.

Thank you Samuel, I just found that out before I read your reply! The thing is that in previous versions when inserting an image in the right column of your admin environment you would find a lot of options about the purpose of the image and one of them was applying a link.
I could close this topic now or delete it alltogether but I can imagine it would be confusing for other WordPress users too.

Oops I see I can mark the topic as solved so I will do that

    Glad I could help. Thanks.
