Site uses Generatepress theme but I deactivated all plugins and switched to 2020 theme for test

I can create and edit a simple form and it works but when I try to add a field there is no way of doing that – no + shows as shown in the documentation

    Wordpress 5.5.1

    Console messages:

    [DOM] Found 2 elements with non-unique id #_wpnonce: (More info: https://goo.gl/9p2vKq) <input type=?”hidden” id=?”_wpnonce” name=?”_wpnonce” value=?”0cb79a4553″>? <input type=?”hidden” id=?”_wpnonce” name=?”_wpnonce” value=?”3672405b52″>?

Button isDefault prop is deprecated. Please use isSecondary instead.

wp.components.IconButton is deprecated. Please use wp.components.Button instead.

  • Hi @dmsims

The Gutenberg UI has been changed a little and now the + button is not always visible, but only when you take your mouse in the bottom center of your active block. I’ve recorded a quick video to show you how to do it.

    https://share.getcloudapp.com/qGuv7X9B

Simply click on a field block, and take your mouse to the bottom center, and you will see the + button to insert a field/block there.

In an upcoming update, i will try to make it better and easier for my form block.

Let me know how it goes.

P.S. Nothing to worry about those console notices, the plugin works fine.

thanks for the reply and video ??

I tried and it still did not work

Then I tried Edge and that was okay, so went back to Chrome and although uBlock Origin said it wasn’t blocking anything I whitelisted the site and that was the solution that worked

    Hey @dmsims

So the chrome extension was block some Gutenberg Javascript? Were you able to add other blocks fine? Was the issue only with the form block?

I built the whole site using Gutenberg blocks – Cover, image, heading, paragraph, columns etc (lots of bugs in Gutenberg!)

The form block worked ok I just could not see the add field + icon when hovering in the correct place

I have just checked again and enabling ublock origin stops that add field appearing but there is nothing logged as no domains are blocked

    HTH

    I see,

Thanks for the info. I will keep an eye on this if there is anything to do at my end. However seems like the ublock is blocking some JS or api call of Gutenberg itself.

Anyway, let me know your experience with the form plugin. And please pass your suggestions and ideas to improve it. ??

    Regards,
    Munir
