Why is WordPress.com stats not allowing me to add a an email address in the “Jetpack Config” panel?

    WordPress.com > Stats > Jetpack Config > Configure stats access > Add a user > Email address

I input the email, click add and nothing happens. I’ve tried refreshing. I’ve added a different user only a few hours ago. No error message is populated.

Before anyone directs me to the WordPress.com forums, please note that they directed me to this plugin’s support forum instead.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

As long as the email address matches another WordPress.com account, it should work.

I had a look at your account, and there are currently 3 administrators listed for your site.
If you experience issues when trying to add a fourth one, do not hesitate to let me know their email address, and I’ll try to add it for you.

You can send me the email address via this form, to avoid posting it in public:

    Thanks!

Thanks for the hands on response, Jeremy.

You’re correct. I’ve just discovered that the user I was adding had not yet verified their WordPress.com user registration.

    Two suggestions:

    1. A specific error message for instances such as this, in which the inputted email address is not valid and has failed.
    2. Changing the cursor via CSS for #accesscontrol legend.

    Thanks again for the support.
