Cannot add, edit or update posts.

    I am unable to add, edit or update posts on one of my WP sites. It’s just me on my PC and even my husband’s PC. Yet my server host tech said he was able to update the post himself with no issues. I saw the post updated afterwards.

    I’ve cleared browser cache/history/cookies on all 3 browsers I’ve tried. Latest version of Firefox, Opera and IE. No luck.

    I’ve rebooted my PC and my modem. No luck.

    I’ve disabled all plugins. No luck and no change.

    I’ve tried making edits with a different Admin user. No luck.

    I’ve tried changing themes. No luck.

    The issue began after trying to add a single navigation link via the admin Menu feature. It timed out, never added. Tech support was able to add it for me. Thereafter, I can’t edit anything on the site at all.

    I get no errors, no errors reported in the error log. Nothing happens, the page simply times out. Any browser, doesn’t matter.

    My ISP claims there is no connectivity issue.

    Any help appreciated!

    have you tried couple of other things:

    -switching to the default theme (“twentyten”) for a moment by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes. The idea is to force WordPress to fall back to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific issue.

    – increasing memory available for php.

    I did try all that. Thank you for replying though.

    I have since uninstalled my antivirus program (Zonealarm) and now can access my site and make edits again.

    Another call to tech support suggested I try that. It worked.

    Issue is now resolved.
