• Hello Support,
if I try to put a custom shortcode on my page, it only shows the month but not the day or year itself. Basically no numbers are shown.

I want the date to look like this:

    5th March

    or even better

    05. March

Could you please help me with this issue? Would it be maybe possible to add these options (without year) when edited in the WordPress Gutenberg Site Editor?

Thank you very much in advance!

    Best,
    Florian

    Dear Florian,

Thank you for using my plugin, Current Date. I appreciate your feedback!

I have added your desired date formats, and you can now easily display them on your website using the following shortcodes:

    • For “5th March” format: [current-date format='jS F']
    • For “05. March” format: [current-date format='d. F']

Additionally, you can use this feature within the Gutenberg Block Editor:

    • Simply go to your page or post editor and search for “Current Date” in the block selection.
    • Here’s a visual guide: How to use it Gutenberg editor.

You can also explore all pre-built date formats available in the plugin here: Date Format Preview.

To access these new features, please update to the latest version (1.0.3).

Let me know if you need any further assistance!

    Best regards,

    Hello Noruzzaman,

Thank you a lot for the really quick reply and for updating the plugin, I appreciate it! I was able to find the “5th March” option in the Gutenberg Block Editor but not the second version:

    For “05. March” format:?[current-date format='d. F']

Also the date was still shown March 5th instead of March 6th, even though in my time zone it was already March 6th. It only changed once I changed the date format in the Gutenberg Block Editor.

Maybe it was also because the plugin was not updated? I cannot say for sure, because I did not check between updating the plugin and changing the date format in the Gutenberg Block Editor. Just something I wanted to let you know.

Thank you very much in advance!

    Best Regards,
    Florian

    Dear Florian,
Apologies for these issues. I updated quickly and did not recheck your query. I thought I had resolved your issue, but when I checked again, I noticed this mistake and have now fixed it. Please delete the previous plugin and install the new one. I believe you will get your expected date format in both the shortcode and the Gutenberg editor.

    Hello Noruzzaman,

don’t worry! thanks again for your quick reply and implementation. The other date format works now! However, the main problem ist that the time does not switch automatically in my timezone (Berlin). I just waited until midnight and when I refreshed it still said March 6th even though it is now after midnight March 7th.

I also reloaded the page and deleted the cache but it did not change anything (see screenshot). The date only resets if I use the Gutenberg Site Editor after there is this error “Block contains unexpected or invalid content.” and I click on “Attempt Recovery” (see Screenshot).

Not sure how I upload the screenshot, therefore a Wetransfer link: https://we.tl/t-rKsYhdKQRj

If you could somehow fix this it would be great as otherwise the plugin would not function correctly and would be kind of useless. Thank you very much in advance!

    Best Regards,
    Florian
