Cannot add categories to navigation

Hello,

I’ve tried everything I could find to add categories to my navigation menu both through the menus portal and through the customization portal. It shows my categories added in the menus tab and customization tab, but it does reflect on the website. I’ve changed the theme multiple different times thinking that was the issue but it is not. I am just trying to have different blog categories that will show on my navigation menu. The site is hosted by bluehost.
