  • Quick follow-up…

    This may be browser related.

When I first tested this plugin, it worked fine on Firefox, but not on Chrome. Now it works neither in Firefox or Chrome, but works in Safari.

    Yikes.

I have a feeling the change has been on the Firefox browser side. That said, the plugin needs to work on all current versions of the most common browsers. Right now, it’s batting 1 for 3. Not good. (Can’t comment on Internet Explorer, because I’m currently on a Mac).

Had the same problem. Just make sure you you have the right consumer key and consumer secret (leave no white spaces either). Ensure you set the Twitter application to Read And Write. Finally, make sure you have a call back URL, which is your website address.

It worked for me when I did all of the above.

My problem is different from @4michael… there was no page in which to add the consumer key and consumer secret. The main plugin page, with the link to the ‘Options’ page (where you enter the key and secret) do not load.

I’ve found that it loads in some versions of some browsers, but not in others.

In addition, I’ve found that sometimes the automatic tweet will work and other times it will not. The most recent time I tested this, it worked in a browser where the Options page could load, and it did not work in the browser where the Options page could not load. It mistakenly tagged my post as being old and therefore didn’t tweet it.

I had the same problem. Setting the callback URL in the Twitter App settings fixed it. I used the blog URL address. Worked like a charm.
