Long story short, my website had an issue caused by Godaddy where all of our accounts lost access to the backend of our website.

After dealing with them and having the website’s administrator abilities restored so we can see the backend, now I cannot access the settings page for User Role Editor.

It doesn’t show up in the correct spot and when clicking “Settings” for the plugin from the plugins page it gives me:
“Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

Does anyone know if there is something missing from the PHPMyAdmin permissions that needs to be added, or how I can go about fixing this without uninstalling, reinstalling and resetting up each roll?

GoDaddy is of no help, they told me to reach our here to the forums.

Thank you for any help with this issue.

If you see “User Role Editor” at the “Plugins” list, try deactivate it and activate back. URE re-grants its own user capabilities to the ‘administrator’ role on activation (in case they are missed for some reason).
