Cannot access the popup cart when hovering over the menu cart

I am using the menu cart on several websites, and most of the functionality works perfectly, except for one. When I hover over the menu cart and the popup shows the cart contents, subtotal and buttons to the cart and checkout pages, I cannot access the popup. Whenever I move the cursor away from the menu cart icon, the popup closes.
I am experiencing this issue on several websites.
What could be wrong?
