Cannot access snippets page

    Hello,

    we recently received a new website (not created by us) that uses this plugin.

    We can access the /wp-admin/tools.php?page=head_footer_code page which is not really used.

    However, when trying to access (with admin account) the plugin page /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpcode we get the error:

    Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

    . No related debug logs, etc.

    The linked is followed from the plugins page since there is no such option in the menu.

    What could be wrong? Which capabilities are needed for that page?

    By checking the database, it seems that there are a few snippets in the _snippets table.

    Any help?

    Hi @lyk-1,

    Thank you for reaching out – the head_footer_code page is not added by WPCode.
    Also, WPCode doesn’t create a custom table _snippets.

    There are 2 possible reasons why you can’t access the WPCode page:

    1. The Header & Footer mode only is enabled in which case you need to go to wp-admin > Settings > Header & Footer and disable the “Simple Mode” toggle and Save Changes: https://a.supportally.com/i/ZTFnjF

    2. There might be a permissions issue from the update in which case you should be able to easily fix it by deactivating the plugin and activating it again.

    Thank you for your reply.

    You are right about the head_footer_code page, it was from another plugin.

    Same for the _snippets, it was not from WPCode.
    Upon checking it was from another snippets plugin which does not even exist in that wp site..

    #2 did the job everything seems fine now.
