• I am in dire need of assistance.
I purchased a new theme (Salient) and it was not working, it was said by their team that I had loads of plug ins and many that needed updating.
So i updated all of the plug ins
and now I get this message on my screen

Fatal error: Call to undefined function session_status() in /var/sites/v/v3tv.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/contus-video-gallery/helper/watch_history.php on line 2

I cannot access my site AT ALL and this is the message I see when trying to log into the admin page or even view as a 3rd party

    Suggestions?
Thank you in advance for you help

  • Sorry for your troubles. You can use FTP and navigate to your plugins directory (/wp-content/plugins) and rename the directory “contus-video-gallery” to “contus-video-galler-o”. Then you should be able to access your WP site again.

Sorry I am not well versed in sort of thing, I have no idea how to go about accessing it via FTP. I cannot gain ANY access to my site what so ever.
If i type in the site name i just get an error message.

Do you have access to your server’s control panel? Often time these have a file access system that you can use to rename files/folders. Check with your hosting service about how to get file access to your websites – either through SFTP/FTP, SSH, or the server control panel (commonly used server control panels include cPanel and Plesk). Once you have access to that, you can then rename your plugins directory.

I don’t have access to anything
Once I tried to update the plug in, it bounced me out and i get that error message any time I try to log in.
So I cannot access ‘anything’ on WordPress, just the Fatal Error message

No one is talking about WordPress access right now; we’re talking about file and FTP access directly at your webhost, which appears to be TSO. Ask your webhost how to get FTP access. See Filezilla and FTP Clients ? WordPress Codex. Or use your web host’s file manager in your control panel.
