Hi I upgraded mywordpress site today and for once it has gone very wrong. I got an error that it did not need upgraded as was already up to date so I re-uploaded the files and now cant access it and getting an error ittroubleshooters.com is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500.

I had forgot to disable the plugins as every other update has gone smooth first time I have had any issues with it.

I went and followed the steps to rename the plugins folder and then did the same for the theme encase it was this. I have also renamed the .htaccess but still get the same error. I have restarted the server also but still getting this error so looking for any help.

Also I have had a look at the error log on the server and is showing [Thu Jan 05 09:51:48 2017] [error] [client 108.162.221.168] PHP Warning: require(/home/admin/web/ittroubleshooters.com/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-list-util.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/admin/web/ittroubleshooters.com/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 97

It sounds like one or more core files are missing.

Try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.
