I use Graph Paper Press. I was in the middle of working on a new theme/skin when I noticed that I was being requested to update to the latest WordPress. I clicked on “Update” and then I got this message, “Whoops! Whatever you are looking for cannot be found.” The URL address is this: https://englebright.biz/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F

I type in just https://englebright.biz/wp-admin and it goes back to the aforementioned URL address and I still get the “Whoops” message. I click on any of the dropdown menus that I normally see when I am at my admin dashboard and I continue to get the “Whoops” message.

Could somebody please tell me how to correct this?

    Thank you

I have tried that. I get the same thing.

This biggest thing many times I mention – always deactivate all the plugins and then run the automated update. It happened probably due to your database cache plugin was on.

Go to (S)FTP and add a . (dot) to the plugin folders to rename. Manually update WordPress (please search help docs in www.remarpro.com). Then again re-rename the plugin folder to normal by removing the dot after update. If there is a new plugin folder get created delete it before removing the dot.

If you have the latest backup, then then nothing need to be done, simply restore it (SQL plus FTP).

    Huh?

I had the same problem. Turns out that I needed a server-side up-date as well! Do an upgrade on the server side and everything will be fine. My hosting provider installed a patch for the 3.4.2 upgrade. (I wish someone would have told me this before hand.)

So don’t panic or spend a lot of time trying to fix it, both of which I did. Just go to your hosting account and there should be a server side upgrade available.

Thanks eewebdesign. I have Go Daddy. They are very idiot-friendly, so I will try that first. ??

I went to my GoDaddy account and scheduled a WordPress update in half an hour. I will let you know what happens.
