Cannot access login page

  • Hi,

    I’ve suddenly lost access to my wp-admin page.

    When I navigate to it I just get a white screen.

    I can still access the site via ftp, and the site is still live.

    It’s in a temporary home: ccbs.ie/sandhouse127

    When I go to the page ccbs.ie/sandhouse127/wp-admin the screen is white.

    Can anyone offer any advice on how to resolve this? I was simply editing a page in a normal fashion when this occurred.

    I renamed my theme folder and got access. The issue seems to be resolved.

    Not resolved!

    I have to rename the theme folder each time to gain access to dashboard.

    How do I go about rectifying this issue?

    That tells me that you have a very bad problem that’s caused by your theme. What that problem is is impossible for anyone here to tell without a whole lot more info.

    Teh good news is that you can find out what theproblem is pretty easily (most times anyway). You need to change this line in your wp-config.php file:

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);

    That will let WordPress display the errors that you’re getting and you’ll know what to do to fix it.

    If that’s not going to work for you the only other option is using a new theme that’s not going to break your site.

    No, I think I’m wrong. This is the error code for the admin login:
