    Hi Support,

Today morning I logged into the site using my admin username and password and then as usual started to create a new post. As I was writing the post there was an error saying unable to save the post.

I logged out and logged in again. This time I could not go to the WordPress dashboard. I thought maybe some problem with my user account. So I created a new admin account via cpanel phpMyAdmin. I can’t access the dashboard even using the newly created account.

The following are the things I have done to troubleshoot:
    (1) Cleared cache
    (2) Created new admin account via cpanel phpMyAdmin
    (3) Disabled theme using FTP
    (4) Disabled plugins using FTP

Whenever I login using all my administrator accounts I can never see the dashboard. So, I can’t create a new post or do anything.

One more thing, after I login using admin account and access the URL via faramira.com/wp-admin then it shows “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

I checked DB and I do not see any problem with the user account and the rights.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as I cannot update my blog.

    Also try one more thing:

Many WordPress login problems have been traced to issues with cookies and cache. So also try this option to see if it is the source of your login issue.

First, check to ensure cookies are enabled in your browser. If not, enable it.

After enabling cookies, you can clear browser cache and cookies by pressing ctrl-shift-delete in Windows, or command-shift-delete in Mac. In the popup page, ensure only cookies and cache are selected and click the button to clear.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I tried that option before. And again I did it now. Both in Chrome as well as in Edge. Still, the problem remains. I just can’t seem to get to the dashboard. Very frustrating as I have to update my posts and add new quizzes.

    Is there any other way?

    Really appreciate any help.

    Thanks @t-p

Had the same problem this morning and could solve it because of your recommendation to check the cookies.

Unfortunately, I am still unable to do any edits or modifications to my site as I am still unable to access the WordPress dashboard.

Just wanted to update. I could not resolve the issue on my own and had to take professional help on this. After some analysis by the freelance developer, he found that wp_options table was corrupted (overwritten). Anyway, he made it back to working condition and resolved the bug.

You can close the issue. Thanks for your support.
