I have had my WooCommerce Facebook connection working for years syncing products. Now I’m looking at the “Advertise” settings, and I get this message: “If you are connected to Facebook but cannot display ads, please contact Facebook support.”

So I’m also going to try contact FB support. I figured I’d post here too.

All the connections to other Meta accounts seem to be fine, except the Ad Manager Account is showing as blank.

How do I make a connection to Ad Manager?

    Thanks

    Hi @duncanroygreenwood

It looks like the issue is with the connection to your Facebook Ad Manager Account. To reconnect, please follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to Marketing > Facebook.
    2. Click on Connection tab and enable debug mode
    3. Go to WooCommerce > Status > Tools > Facebook: Reset connection settings > Reset Settings.

If the Ad Manager Account option still appears blank, it might be a problem on Facebook’s end. In this case, reaching out to Facebook Support, as you mentioned, would be a good next step.

Additionally, please can you share a copy of the following:

    • System Status Report: navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.
    • Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi,

Okay so that worked up until a point. Since yesterday our page moved over to a different Business Manager, so now I’m going to have to get the right permissions to re-establish the connection to our page. (Previously this wasn’t an issue. The ads connection hasn’t worked for months).

So I’ll have to leave this hanging for at least a few days while I relay with the marketing team. Since I’ve now disconnected, it looks like all data feeding from our pixel is now stopped, so that sucks.

The other thing is that Meta recently disabled the ability to display shop catalogues in our region, so that kinda nerfed the usefulness of this plugin for us. I still at least want the pixel to work though. I might be able to do that with something else like maybe Yoast SEO?

I did chat with Facebook support, and they confirmed that everything was connected correctly on their side. This whole thing might be due to the way I set up the Woo Facebook plugin in the first place years ago.

    Thanks

    Hello @duncanroygreenwood,

    Thanks for the update!

So I’ll have to leave this hanging for at least a few days while I relay with the marketing team. Since I’ve now disconnected, it looks like all data feeding from our pixel is now stopped, so that sucks.

Sorry to disappoint, but the pixel integration is added automatically when the connection is established so there isn’t a way to activate it by itself.

If you’re using the extension only for the pixel feature, then it might be better to switch to an event-tracking extension like Pixel Manager Pro for WooCommerce.

Let us know if you have any other questions. :?)
