Cancled backorders adds +1 in stock

    Good day

    If there are customer back orders and customer cancels it adds 1 to the stock qty

    So for example

    Product A has 0 stock but backorder is on notify so its able to back order

    Customer A then canceled their order it will then add 1 to the qty of product A

    then customer B will see hey its in stock and place an order.

    can this be fixed please especially if stock was from 0 it cant just add if it isnt there.

    Thanks for reaching out about this! I understand that when an order for an available for backorder item is cancelled, its stock quantity is augmented by one; therefore for a product with inventory 0, it moves to 1.

    I went ahead with testing this on a test installation of mine. I used a product with 0 inventory, and "Allow, but notify customer" selected in the backorder settings. As expected, the product went back to being available for backorder, instead of having stock quantity of 1.
