Occasionally, orders that have been marked as cancelled are spontaneously switching their status back to processing.

The issue occurs sporadically, without any clear pattern or trigger.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to identify the cause or find a solution.

Could you please provide some guidance on how to resolve this issue? Specifically, I am interested in any known bugs that might cause this behavior, insights into potential plugin conflicts, or any settings that might affect order status transitions in this manner.

I was not able to find any report of this, so let’s investigate to find the cause.

The issue occurs sporadically, without any clear pattern or trigger.

So there is no clear timeline, right? I mean, if an order is canceled then it goes back to processing always 3 days later, or something like that.

And this is not happening to all cancelled orders, correct?

Let’s try to find a pattern on the orders themselves.
- Are there any similarities on the products on them?
- Did they all use the same payment gateway/method?
- The customer address was similar?
- Any similarities you can find might help us understand what is going on.
Can you please share a screenshot of the order notes on one of those? Please remove any sensitive information before sharing it here. I recommend using https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.
