Canard variations?

  • Is there a difference between the Canard on WordPress.com and if I use Canard with a different host? The site isn’t live, but I have seemed to lost functionality between what we were using on WordPress.com and what I am able to do being hosted on a new server. Figured WordPress was WordPress. Thanks for any insight.

  • Hi @wigginsda , the theme itself is the same, but WordPress.com does have some of its own features that aren’t built into the free software. Can you clarify what you’re hoping to do?

    Thanks for your reply.

    We enjoyed the ability to customize background colors, have the tagline on the welcome page, and have the Canard link and font colors that were already set up. I am not someone that really codes and appreciated the ease of these already being in place.

    Thanks for this. I missed that you’re working with a WordPress.com site. Canard isn’t as highly editable as the newer Full Site Editing themes, but you should be able to update colors under Customize.
