    Hello, as reported here:
In Desktop view no problem. But if i see my site with iPhone, iPad, with Chrome, Safari or firefox mobile, i can see only the first 2-3 featured image loading, the others remain like a BLACK BLOCK… scrolling down the i can see the others articles…
whi in mobile view the featured images are not loading all? but only the first 2-3?
i have the last wordpress hosted with PHP 7.4.10 and 640M php memory

    Hi there,
This is not an issue with the theme but rather with the AMP plugin that you’re using. When someone views your site through a mobile device the AMP plugin kicks in and displays a different template. To fix that please post in that plugin’s support forum:

  • Thanks for reaching out. It seems like some of the CSS in your theme is resulting in the features imaged appearing centered in an absolute position in AMP URLs, I’ve tested the same from my side using the same theme, making some CSS changes can correct the positions in AMP URLs.

I noticed also you switched to a reader mode theme, which might be best for themes that are not fully AMP compatible.

mm…ok but i’m not seeing the site in amp mode, i chose “View in desktop mode” on ipad and iphone safari and chromw, and the site load the desktop view theme (not the amp theme), but with last featured images in black block. only the firsts 2-3 featured images are been rendered.

the AMP template is not CANARD, is “Twenty Twenty” and it load very well. But it don’t have the featured images feature in the template.

I wish to remove the AMP feature addon from wordpress, and leave only the CANARD template with responsive feature that i like so much.
The only my problem is that CANARD in mibile browsing show 2-3 featured images and others remain bòack block.

What can you suggest to me?
    thanks.

PS.: i have this issue of the black featured blocks since before installing AMP on wordpress. i decided to install AMP with Twenty Twenty theme just for bypassing this “black blocks” issue for mobile viewers.

Just to confirm, you’re looking to use the Canard theme for AMP URLs (in transitional mode)? From my testing there are some incompatibilities, with featured images, the navigation menu and search button. It may take some development work to ensure these all work in AMP.

You’ll find some supporting documentation on the plugins website, such as toggling the hamburger menu.

no no, i try to explain better, i don’t want to use AMP features.
I really wish to use CANARD itselfe both for desktop and mobile view. its responsive design sems to work very well, so, i think, i don’t need AMP right?

the only problem for me is that the CANARD responsive site in iphone e ipad have the issue with the 5 top featured images.

ok, let see some screen for better explanation: (i can’t upload images, so i’ll use google drive for share issued images)

    1) iPhone Canard View, first load, this is OK
    2) iPhone Canard View, first scroll down, show others featured images in black.
    3) iPad landscape Canard view, show half featured images loaded and half not (black blocks).
    4) iPad portrait Canard View, idem like point 3).

If you’re asking about some theme related queries rendering differently across browsers or devices you’ll need to ask the developer of that theme, we can only address AMP plugin related issues. The AMP plugin does not alter the functionality or appearance of your non AMP URLs when using reader or transitional mode.

The screenshots you provided are all screenshots of issues with the Canard theme. The theme is not fully AMP compatible so if using in AMP URLs you will encounter some inconsistencies.

I noticed also you have mobile redirection enabled from the AMP plugin. As you’re using the AMP plugin in reader mode you have an AMP version and a non AMP version of your URLs. With mobile redirection enabled all visitors on mobile will be redirected to the AMP version – which switches to your enabled reader mode theme. You can disable mobile redirection to ensure users access the Canard theme on mobile. Any issues with how this theme works on mobile can be directed to the theme developer. This is also where the confusion may have been from your last response from the theme developer. Please disable mobile redirection before then contacting them and enquiring about the featured images issue.

i’ll try to ask to him, He drive me here for the same issue…

    AMP plugin is literally disabled.
Canard theme load only 2 featured images as you can see

I understand. That may have been as your mobile site is always AMP with the mobile redirection option enabled, your Canard theme was therefore inaccessible on mobile. Please switch this feature of for your theme developer to check.
