Can you use this form for just editing on existing posts?

I’m curious of a couple of things

1. Can I use this plugin just to provide the edit facility for a custom post type that’s submitted by a different plugin? We have quite an advanced setup using USP Pro for front end content submission but that plugin lacks the ability for users to edit posts afterwards. Would this plugin fill that void?
2. Can I connect the fields in the edit form to existing ACF fields?
